Sadhguru: Every reverberation, whether of great consequence or otherwise, has an existential root, but meanings have no existential root. Meanings only mean something within the framework of your mind. Only when you live in human society are meanings important because human beings have lost traction with Creation. The only place where meanings have some relevance is in the ridiculous creation of their own, which is their psychological space. It is a new world that people have created for themselves. You see the world clashing because everybody is living in their own world. This is a psychological structure. It is an illusion that you create for yourself.

萨古鲁：每一个回响，无论是否有重大的影响，都有其存在的根源。但是“意思”这个东西是没有根源的。“意思”只在你的头脑框架之内有意义。只有当你生活在人类社会的时候，意思才是重要的，因为人类与宇宙创造失联了。只有在他们自身的荒谬创造中－也就是他们的心理空间，“意思”才有意义。这是人们为自己创造的一个新世界。世界上有冲突，就是因为每个人都活在自己的世界里。这是心理构造，是你给自己创造的幻象。

Within this illusion you can create all kinds of meanings. The terminology employed when someone comes to his senses is, “He was disillusioned.” Disillusioned is not a positive term in the social context. But if you are looking for a spiritual context, the sooner you are disillusioned, the better it is. If all your illusions fall apart today, isn’t it wonderful? Or do you want to take your illusions to your deathbed? Of course, death will destroy all the illusions.

在这个幻象中你可以创造各式各样的意义。当某人清醒过来时，专业的用语是“他幻灭了”。在社会情境中，“幻灭”不是个正面的词汇。但是如果你正在寻找灵性层面，你越快“幻灭”越好。如果今天你所有的幻象都破碎了，岂不是很好？或者你想要带着你的幻象直到临终吗？当然了，死亡将摧毁所有的幻象。

When we utter a mantra, we are not looking at the meaning. But most human beings have made themselves incapable of getting involved with something that doesn’t mean anything to them. Why do you think some of the most glorious things that are happening on the planet are ignored by most people? A sunrise, sunset, full moon. How many people on this planet are even conscious of it? How many people will sit through the spring watching the flowers blossom? Instead they are arguing about whose words are more meaningful! They have no attention for all the meaningless, phenomenal things that are happening in the universe because they are looking for meaningful things.

当我们唱诵的时候，我们看重的不是它的意思。但是大部分人类已经变得无法投入到对他们来说没有意义的事情。为什么这个星球上一些最美好的东西却被大部分人忽略呢？日出、日落、满月。地球上有多少人有注意到呢？有多少人会耐心看着春天的花朵们开放呢？相反的，他们在争论谁的词句更具有意义！他们不会注意那些发生在宇宙中无意义却非凡的事情，因为他们在寻找“有意义”的事情。

Sound is the substance of Creation. Meanings are made up in human minds. Sounds are of various kinds. There are sounds that are very refined, and there are some that are gross depending upon the nature of its reverberation. Everything is a certain kind of sound – the tree, air, body, rock. There could be the same rock as the Dhyanalinga, but it would have a completely different kind of reverberation. The same sound can be taken and refined to a certain level. Today, science is entering this space, but in the yogic systems this is something that we have always worked with. Modern science is now saying both sound and light are reverberations. If you multiply sound to a certain decibel, you would arrive at a place where mathematically it has become light. In theory, sound can become light. Once something is theoretically possible, practicality is only a question of capability. But this is something that we have always done within ourselves.

声音是创造的实质。“意思”是人类思想编造出来的。声音是多种多样的。有一些声音是很精微的，有一些是更粗糙的，取决于回响的性质。所有事物都是某种声音－树木、空气、身体、石头。可能有和迪阿纳灵伽一样的石头，但是它会有完全不一样的回响。同样的一个声音可以被提升到一个更精微的水平。今天，科学界正在进入这个领域，但是瑜伽系统对此早有发现。现代科学现在说声音和光都有回响，当你将声音成倍地增加到一定分贝，从数学角度上看，最终它会变成光。理论上，声音可以变成光。一旦某件事在理论上有了可能性，实践性就只是能力的问题。但这是一直发生于我们之内的事。

If you take a sound and incubate it within you, you can incubate the sound with a refined reverberation of your consciousness and turn it into light. The body is one kind of reverberation, thought is another kind of reverberation, emotion is another kind of reverberation, consciousness is a completely different kind of reverberation. What we refer to as consciousness is the most refined reverberation. What is beyond is, “Shiva” or “that which is not” because its reverberation is such that you cannot even know it is there. It is utter stillness, but there is a reverberation in that also. If you take a sound into you and incubate it in your consciousness, this sound can slowly be transformed into light.

如果你让一个声音在你之内孵化，你可以用你意识中的精微回响来培育这个声音并将其转化为光。身体是一种回响，思想是另一种回响，情感也是一种回响，意识又是一种完全不同的回响。我们所说的意识是最精微的回响。超越这一切的，是“湿婆”或者“空”，因为它的回响你甚至不会知道它存在。它是完全静止的，但是它也有回响。如果你让一个声音融入你，在你的意识中孵化，这个声音会慢慢地转化变成光。

Reverberations do different things to different individuals, but if you transform a reverberation from one dimension to another by incubating it within yourself consciously, one can know light from within, and nobody around will miss it either.

回响对于每个人都有不同的影响，但是如果你有意识地让它在你之内孵化，使它从一个维度转化到另一个维度，一个人就会从内在了悟什么是光，他周围也没有人会错过它。
