有个人登上了百尺高的竹竿，既不能上，也不能下，处于只有乖乖地等死的境地。

 

那么，他该怎样做才能从百尺竿头上下来呢？带着这个问题，且看巴夏的解答。

She says that 

她说：

 

Although sometimes she has found out one of her belief systems 

虽然有时候，她发现自己有某个信念系统

 

And she knows that that belief is not serving the best, in a beneficial way. 

她也知道，这个信念系统带给她的，并不是最佳利益

 

Sometimes she cannot change it 

但有时候，她就是没法改变这个信念

 

巴夏：

Oh! She can change it. 

噢！她可以改变的

 

She just has a belief that she can't 

只是她有另一个信念，认为她做不到

 

So she have to find out what that belief is 

所以，她必须找到这个信念

 

About why she would be afraid change it 

这个让她不敢去改变的信念

 

Because the only reason you wouldn't change something you don't prefer, 

因为，你不会改变那些你所不喜欢的信念的  唯一原因

 

Is because you are afraid to 

就是因为你害怕

 

And that means you have a belief that makes what you prefer 

这也说明，你有一个信念，认为你所喜欢的

 

seem scarier than what you don't prefer, 

会比你所不喜欢的，还可怕

 

So she has to find out what that belief is that's making what she prefers seem to be not the choice that she would prefer 

所以，这个把喜欢的，变成不喜欢的的信念，她得找出来

 

She's coloring it with the belief that she hasn't discovered yet 

她在用一个她还没发现的信念，把这个信念给伪装起来

 

问：

Just for example, she says that 

举个例子吧，她说

 

Perhaps she has a belief system that 

或许，她有一个信念系统

 

There is no money, there is no freedom in life 

认为：“如果没钱，那生活就没有自由可言”

 

Although she knows this is not true. 

虽然她也知道，这不是真的

 

She still finds it difficult to change this belief system. 

但要改变这个信念系统，她觉得，还是挺难的

 

巴夏：

She may intellectually comprehend that it's not true, 

她聪明的小脑袋，可能“理解”这不是真的

 

But she doesn't know that it's not true 

但她还不“知道”这真不是真的

 

Because if she knew it 

因为，如果她真的知道了

 

She wouldn't be doing it that way 

那她就不会那么做

 

Because knowing and action and behavior are synonymous 

因为知道、行动和行为表现，同一回事

 

What you know to be true is in your behavior. 

你真的知道了，你就会在行动中表现出来

 

You just do it without question. 

你会二话不说地就去做了

 

So she doesn't know it to be true. 

她没做，说明她不知道

 

Which means she hasn't actually discovered what the belief is yet 

也意味着，她还没找到这个信念系统

 

She needs to do more digging. 

她得继续练习挖掘技术！

 

问：

So how can she be? 

那她得怎么做？去山东找蓝翔？

 

巴夏：

She have to be willing to find the answer 

她得有去找答案的“意愿”

 

and not be afraid to look 

并且勇敢地面对答案

 

She's afraid to look 

她还不敢面对

 

Because she's afraid that if she finds the answer 

因为她害怕找到了答案后

 

She's going to find out that something negative about her is actually true. 

发现关于她的那些消极、负面的部分，是真实的

 

I guarantee it won't be. 

我保证，那些不可能是真实的

 

But the belief, the negative belief may be making her believe 

但她的负面信念系统，可能会使她相信：

 

that she shouldn't go digging 

“不可以继续挖下去了”

 

Because it will be scary to do so. 

“因为结果会很可怕的”

 

问：

Okay, 

好的

 

巴夏：

So she has to, in a sense, ignore that 

所以，她必须忽视负面信念说的话

 

And realize that the scarier things get, 

并且意识到：事情变得越是可怕

 

That means you're much closer to breaking through. 

说明，你离突破口越近

 

Because when you really feel a lot of fear about moving in the direction of your joy of your preference 

当你朝着你所喜好，又喜悦的方向前进时，如果感到非常非常的恐惧

 

When you feel the greatest fear 

那在你感到极度的恐惧时

 

That means the negative belief knows you are just inches away from breaking through 

说明：负面信念系统知道你与突破口，只有咫尺之隔

 

And it's doing everything it can to stop you. 

那它就会无所不用其极地阻止你

 

It's throwing the book at you,

长篇大论地忽悠你

 

And it's going to increase the fear as much as it can 

并将你的恐惧指数飙到极限

 

Because it knows that 

因为它知道

 

you're just moments away from breaking through that threshold into joy. 

它如果稍一放松，片刻之间，你就会打破门槛，跨入喜悦的殿堂

 

So the most fear is the best sign 

所以，极度的恐惧，就是极佳的指示牌

 

Just keep going 

你只需继续前进

 

Break through it. 

并且突破它

 

Don't let it convince you that it's going to get worse 

别让它说服你，认为事情只会变得更糟糕

 

Because even if it does, 

因为，即使事情变得更糟糕了

 

You're just that much closer to suddenly everything 

那说明你又前进了，很快，一切

 

Being exactly 

将变成

 

What it needs to be 

“如是”（它应该是的样子）

 

Yes?

走！我们去看看这位美女，是否听进去了

 

 

中国古时候有位高僧，叫景岑。这位大师教给了人们从百尺竿头活下来的办法：

节选自《无门关》第四十六则（大四八·二九八下）：

 

石霜和尚云：“百尺竿头，如何进步？”

又古德云：“百尺竿头坐底人，虽然得入，未为真。百尺竿头须进步，十方世界现全身。”

石霜者，即石霜山之庆诸禅师；古德者，指长沙景岑和尚。

 

谓百尺竿头虽高，乐而稳坐不下者，智慧反成罪障，犹非真悟，须更进一步，下至诸趣，现全身於十方世界，以摄化万机。

 

故无门慧开评曰：“进得步，翻得身，更嫌何处不称尊？然虽如是，且道，百尺竿头，如何进步？嗄！”

更颂曰：“瞎却顶门眼，错认定盘星；拼身能舍命，一盲引众盲。”

 

景岑和尚说，在百尺竿头上继续往前走，这样就会十方世界尽收眼底。也就是说，在百尺竿头上求生的办法，就是从悬崖绝壁再向前一步。

 

从百尺竿头上再向前一步，那不就是死吗？但在百尺竿头上坐在那里，却也不能使死亡退却。

 

能够使人摆脱死亡的，只有死。

 

必死即生，必生即死！

 

同样，摆脱百尺竿头的办法，也只有更进一步。
